The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) is the professional home for Infectious Diseases scientists and physicians with over 11,000 members and is currently looking for a creative education professional to expand our educational efforts in digital and web-based delivery options. He/she will serve as the project manager on developing educational projects including webinars, online learning modules, and video and mobile delivery products. The incumbent will work with the Director of Education and various staff to produce high quality, online learning content as well as direct integration of educational technologies that enhance learning effectiveness, experience and reach. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity for learning new and innovative learning technologies, including eLearning, social media and cloud-based learning tools.
Work with Department Head to develop long range digital educational strategy to achieve goals.
Produce interactive eLearning course material from existing educational content.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to successfully create online interactive learning products.
Based on learning objectives, recommend and coordinate appropriate technology platforms, course design and delivery options based on subject matter and target audience.
Assist with establishing learning objectives, learning outcomes and use assessment tools to effectively evaluate programs.
Provide recommendations to optimize existing programs.
Utilize a variety of software, development platforms and multimedia tools to develop eLearning, mobile and virtual-instructor led courses; manages related vendors.
Research and apply emerging technologies and instructional design strategies to enhance delivery modalities.
Strategize and collaborate with departmental management team to create and expand revenue streams via on-line learning and other digital mediums.
Analyze data and develop concise reports.
May assist with accreditation process.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
3+ years of experience in instructional design or instructional technology support.
Experience with monetized digital education content is desired.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Graphic Design or related field, equivalent experience may be considered
Knowledge of eLearning authoring tools.
Basic Adobe, HTML skills, Microsoft Office suite and Articulate products or similar multimedia development tools or programs.
Ability to work efficiently in DB and systems such as Box, Dropbox and EndNote.
Experience with storyboarding and/or video editing a plus.
Ability to analyze data and develop concise reports.
Knowledge of principles and methods for adult learning theory and assessment of methods and content.
Excellent English-language verbal and written communication skills with superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and balance multiple ongoing projects with specified timelines while meeting deadlines.
