We are currently seeking a part-time accountant (approx 25hrs/wk) for our nonprofit and association clients. We are a growing organization that has achieved such growth through caring, personal service that is reliable and professional. Each member of our team plays an important role in that growth. Position to begin immediately. All books are maintained on QuickBooks, and we also contract a bookkeeper to assist with financial tasks.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Maintain general ledger
Monthly bank reconciliation and financial reports to our various boards of directors and staff
Maintain general liability and D&O insurance for association clients
Work with association treasurers to maintain monthly reporting, paying of invoices and billing vendors as necessary
Prepare annual documents for 990 filing; work with auditors to ensure annual audits filed on time
Ensure Apex staff and associations are following financial policies and procedures; suggest improvements to those policies as necessary

Previous experience in nonprofit / association accounting is a must. Additionally, knowledge in working with organization foundations, restricted funds, and international transactions would be beneficial. Strong experience in Quickbooks and experience pulling information from other databases, PayPal and other sources of revenue is a plus.
Additional Salary Information: Hourly pay commensurate with experience, and is expected to be between $25 and $30 per hour.
