Working with the Association committees and Board of Directors, establish and manage annual budget exceeding $2,000,000.
Oversee operating committees of association.
Working with Managing Director, sustain and grow programs and member service
Support the organization’s strategic alliances and partnerships
Attend and preside over meetings
Participate in strategic planning
Plan and implement annual calendar of events
Assist with development of budgets
Provide day-to-day general management including:
Responding to volunteer director business matters
Responding to member inquiries and requests
Preparation of applicable reports for Board and Committees
Composition of articles for industry magazine and various electronic communication vehicles
Proof reading articles for industry magazine and various electronic communication vehicles
Attending industry meetings and representing association to other trade associations and groups
Working with association legal counsel in such matters as bylaws, legislation (state and national), Code of Business Practice implementation
Traveling within the United States and Internationally
The position calls for an individual with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 2 years experience as an association managing director or an equivalent title/position.
