The Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA), professionally managed by Associations International, is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the organization’s chief staff officer. Working in conjunction with volunteer leaders and professional management staff, the Executive Director oversees the overall management and operations of the organization and provides sound programming, fiscal and personnel management, develops effective relationships with stakeholders and positively represents the association to external audiences.
The successful candidate will have at least 7-10 years of experience managing associations, membership organizations and/or nonprofit organizations. They will have entrepreneurial business skills for the growth and development of AFWA. In addition, Executive Director will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to the advancement of diversity within the accounting and financial profession and will champion AFWA’s efforts to connect, advance and lead its members.
The following experience and qualifications are also highly desired: •Experience managing a 501c6 organization with a 501c3 foundation •CAE Certification •Graduate degree in a business-related field •Experience in the accounting and/or financial industry •A current understanding of diversity related trends and research within the professional business environment.
