POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for association’s overall marketing strategy to generate awareness of, participation in, and revenue from America’s Essential Hospitals’ membership, events, programs, and corporate relations programs. Work collaboratively across the organization to develop marketplace and member-focused strategies for achieving membership and program growth.
REPORTS TO: Vice President for Member Services
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conceptualize, execute, and measure the success of promotional campaigns for America’s Essential Hospitals’ membership, events, webinars, programs, and scholarships. Includes creation and management of strategic marketing plans that utilize email marketing, direct mail, personal outreach, and social media. Oversee the efforts of the marketing and member engagement team to coordinate at the strategic and tactical levels with other departments within the association, as well as manage relationships with external service providers.
Manage systems to track, analyze, and improve member engagement. Implement interventions to enhance member participation in and consumption of benefits. Serve as staff lead for inter-departmental member engagement task force. Communicate and collaborate with association staff to keep engagement opportunities infused through work, events, and partnerships.
Build, retain, and grow corporate relations to meet or exceed annual revenue projections and position America’s Essential Hospitals as a strategic partner for companies that provide goods or services to essential hospitals. Continually review and identify new member benefits, products, and services that add value to corporate relations.
Manage all aspects of the association’s prestigious Gage Awards program including solicitation of applications, development of recognition materials, and dissemination of project information to the membership. Serve as staff lead for the association’s awards committee comprised of senior level executives within member hospitals as well as outside experts.
In conjunction with the vice president for member services, develop and execute membership recruitment campaigns and strategies, including creation of new membership materials. With the president and CEO and vice president for member services, serve as staff lead for the association’s membership committee comprised of senior level executives within member hospitals.
Collaborate with the communications team on website strategy, messaging and content development as it relates to membership, marketing, and corporate relations
Other activities as assigned by the vice president for member services.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, marketing or related field
6-10 years’ work experience that includes at least 5 years’ experience in an association
Strong background in membership and event marketing, including a keen sense of creative, targeted messaging
Proven success in developing marketing/promotions campaigns that produce quantifiable outcomes
Quantifiable success in generating non-dues revenue through corporate membership and/or sponsorship
Demonstrated advancement within or between organizations
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Certified Association Executive (CAE) preferred
