The American Staffing Association is looking for an independent and energetic manager for councils and chapters, and associated programs, who wants to work in a creative, fast paced and fun environment for an extraordinary industry that helps put people to work. This position manages the chapter program and supports the regional council team. Primary responsibilities include association volunteer management, chapter relations and committee management, event coordination, and other ad hoc responsibilities.

With the director, manages chapter relationships and leadership meetings
Serve as primary liaison to membership department to assist member retention and recruitment
Manages ASA volunteer leadership process for councils and chapters
Supports the regional council program with services, program development, marketing plan management, communication, and event planning coordination
Handles phone calls and email communications regarding chapters and regional councils
Coordination and production of virtual meetings for councils and chapters
Travel to designated regional events to represent ASA and provide support
Writes and edits marketing copy to promote ASA industry events
Support ASA events as needed
Provides special project support on an ad hoc basis
Regional council and chapter relations, association volunteer management: 60%; Event support and coordination: 30%; Marketing coordination: 20%; Ongoing special projects 10%
Bachelor’s degree required. Should have three to five years of relevant experience, in association, business, component management, or related field, and exhibit strong writing and editing skills. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage projects; and competency using technology, including Microsoft Office applications and database management. Should have strong customer service and communication skills. Must be creative, able to juggle multiple tasks, and can work independently and as part of a team. Must meet deadlines in a demanding, busy, fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate would be engaging and enjoy problem solving.
