Basic Function of the Position: To contribute to the growth and retention of Consumer Technology Association (CTA)’s membership.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain new member tracking using various management application solutions.
Review, approve and process new member applications.
Update systems and accurately enter data.
Implement new member updates and invoicing.
Track recruitment progress on different prospecting spreadsheets for different events, industry verticals, etc.
Address new member inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to prospects and members by phone, email, face-to-face meetings, mailings, social media and web.
Recruit new members, in coordination with the Senior Manager of Membership Development including, assistance with building new member prospect lists as well as onsite of CES.
Assist with the new member welcome process including managing welcome email campaign, new member outreach and engagement opportunities.
Monitor the membership inbox, and help to address customer service issues and questions from prospective members and renewing members.
Support the administration of exhibiting member benefits including CTA member packets, directory listings, member discounts and priority points.
Support Membership team by performing audits of the CES Exhibitor List to identify member prospects, confirm member status and verify member pricing.
Coordinate marketing needs, calendars, vehicles and campaigns for the recruitment and retention of CTA members. Send and track marketing campaigns and promotions throughout the year. Support outreach to members and prospects promoting CTA member benefits and involvement.
Update web site content as needed and directed by Membership Development staff. Work with Member Relations, Communications, Marketing and IT staff to update websites.
Perform other duties as required by business needs.
0-2 years' experience with association membership recruitment, corporate sales or customer service experience preferred.
Previous experience in marketing, membership, sales or technology industry preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred or commensurate experience.
Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Must have excellent communication skills, be customer/team oriented and have the ability work with all staff levels. Must have a can-do, positive attitude.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, change oriented environment.
Database and HTML programming experience preferred.
Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
