The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to manage and expand exhibit sales, sponsorship sales, advertising sales, and NACDL’s Affinity Partnership Program. This position is responsible for selling exhibit space, sponsorship opportunities, and advertisements; identifying and pursuing new sales prospects; creating and developing new sponsorships and Affinity Partners. She/he will also develop and implement strategies to grow and these programs. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and focused, with organizational and project management skills and keen attention to detail. This is the perfect position for someone looking to expand their experience in the sales and marketing field. There is room from growth within the association.
Candidate will be responsible for:
Oversee advertising sales for TheChampion. This includes advertiser recruitment, prospecting, maintaining the sales lead database, marketing materials, tracking, and invoicing.
Develop and negotiate affinity partnerships with companies to develop member benefit programs; work with partners to develop marketing plans to effectively sell their products to members.
Effectively communicate affinity partnerships and discounts to NACDL members.
Sell exhibit space at NACDL seminars; coordinate the exhibitor experience at the different venues; assist with exhibitor logistics at the venue, working closely with NACDL staff and venue personnel.
Sell sponsorships for NACDL seminars, webinars, and other events or projects.
Maintain database of prospects for advertisers, sponsors, exhibitors, and all other non-dues areas.
Sell e-mail blasts and banner ads to prospective customers; manage the sales and invoicing for this function and work closely with other NACDL staff for content creation, distribution/posting, and tracking.
Assist in developing effective marketing strategies for products and on-line services.

Qualified candidates for this position will be possess a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field or at least four years of equivalent experience.
Two years of proven sales experience in a fundraising or non-profit environment including experience in generating leads, cold-calling and closing sales.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrate customer oriented attitude.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
