As the Development Operations Manager, your primary objective is to ensure the integrity of all donor and financial data critical to the execution of all advancement functions and fundraising streams. Support the efforts of the development team through a variety of responsibilities in major gifts through database management and ongoing cultivation activities. Liaise with Finance and provide primary point of contact for revenue reconciliation with finance platform. Requires experience in donor platforms and systems, and with donor data entry.

Three or more years’ experience in each of the following areas:
Administering and overseeing donor database software, working closely with Advancement teams on the effective use of such systems for fundraising success. Intimately familiar with multiple donor systems, with in-depth knowledge of donor system best practices, standards, procedures, pitfalls and opportunities.
Developing and administering donor stewardship programs, including extensive knowledge of best-practices for receipting, gift acknowledgement, donor stewardship reporting, and more.
Experience working with Advancement teams on moves management, portfolio management, donor pipeline, and the like.
Managing donation processing and administration.
Strong attention-to-detail and organizational skills a must.
Proactive, self-starter, able to lead an area of responsibility with minimal supervision.
Discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance, such as defining processes, policies, and procedures in system and related to donation processing.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required. Understanding of working with formulas and queries, pivot tables, and more. Experience in statistical analysis a plus.
Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) platforms and tools a plus.
Varied experience in web-based platforms, and a solid understanding of working with web apps and web tools. Has an intuitive understanding of technology tools. Able to pick up new platforms and systems quickly with minimal training. Quick learner, able to intuitively understand the inner workings of technical donor systems.
Experience completing systems training for peers and superiors, and writing documentation and procedures manuals.
Excellent verbal communication skills, both written and verbal, in one-on-one and group settings; active listener.
Experience in leading and managing staff and/or the potential to manage staff; a team-building orientation.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively across workgroups, and with varied personality, management, and leadership styles.
Ability to work under pressure and keep multiple projects on track without compromising performance.
