The External Relations Assistant provides support related to the implementation and fulfillment of CoSN’s comprehensive sponsorship program and events. Position supports managers to ensure efficacy of existing sponsorship programs. Position provides administrative support for CoSN Senior Staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Chief Strategy Officer to create and maintain all tracking spreadsheets and forms required for successful execution of the sponsorship program.
Assist in developing annual prospectus of sponsorship opportunities
Ensure that sponsorship letters of agreement are completed, distributed and returned in a timely manner and invoices are generated as requested
Maintain lists of sponsors by program and update as necessary
Maintain and update sponsor contact information
Research the ed tech industry and identify prospects and key contacts.
Assist in the development and distribution of a sponsorship fulfillment template to ensure the timely delivery of sponsor benefits
Maintain a list of scheduled calls with sponsors
Monitor responses to sponsorship pitches and follow up as necessary
Support the Director of Meetings and Conferences to fulfill all event related sponsorship terms.
Collect and maintain the most current sponsorship logos.
Update websites and communications with new sponsors.
Support logistics for ancillary events
Send logistic information to sponsors and exhibitors
Collect company and session descriptions for annual conference and CTO clinics
Review sponsor registration
Ensure all acknowledgement and branding is accurate, including ordering signage
Assist with onsite sponsor appreciation and distinction methods
Send registration reports to sponsors as scheduled.
Assist with onsite management of @InnovationCentral and CTO Clinics
Support Senior Staff with general administrative support which includes, but is not limited to:
Booking travel and organizing travel documentation for reimbursement
Managing Outlook calenders and organize meetings as requested
Making phone calls
Preparing written correspondence
Other duties that support of the CoSN mission, but not enumerated here, may be assigned to this position.

Solid mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher
Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to interface with internal and external contacts, including sponsors, sales persons and support vendors.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as work independently.
Four-year accredited bachelor’s degree.
One to two years of relevant experience in association administration, fundraising and/or meeting planning.
Demonstrated capacity to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Familiarity with database management software, preferably NetForum.
Knowledge of the Education Technology industry
