Washington-based trade association has immediate need for a Sr. Director-Human Resources & Administration to guide and manage the overall Human Resources and office suite administration of the entire association. Position acts as a strategic partner to the senior management team and reports to the CFO. Specific responsibilities for Human Resources include recruitment and retention, benefits administration, performance management, compensation management, compliance issues, employee relations and budget responsibilities. Specific responsibilities for the office suite include conference center arrangements, conference room set up, oversight of ordering supplies, liaison with building management and budget responsibilities. Manages external consultants such 401(k) recordkeeper, benefits consultant and temporary staffing agencies.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration or a related field required. 10 years of solid Human Resources experience. Strong, effective communicator. Proficient in employment law. Familiarity with an HRIS. Must be proactive, collaborative and team-orientated. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and able to communicate successfully with all levels of staff both orally and in written form. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. SHRM certification a plus. Excellent benefits/competitive salary.
