VHCA-VCAL’s Member Services Coordinator duties include: Tracking continuing education hours for attendees, submitting education programs for approval by to the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators (NAB), and mailing confirmation letters. Accounts receivables functions (create invoices, apply payments), make bank deposits, balance daily cash and credit card receipts) and the ability to reconcile out of balance conditions. Generates timely monthly reports from association management software for Chief Financial Officer. Prepare correspondence and reports related to event registrations and other information from the association management software. Provide support for committee meeting arrangements and functions. Maintains membership records as assigned. Respond to members requests for information. Researches and assembles information for professional staff and membership. Conducts special administrative projects. Masters use of computer software necessary to complete assigned duties. Perform general support staff functions as needed. Perform other tasks and duties as may be identified by the Vice President of Education and Member Services or other staff.
5 years of experience, preferably for a professional or trade association, association management company, or similar type organizations. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred. Excellent customer service skills for interactions with members, meeting attendees, and vendors. Strong communication (written and verbal), proofreading, time management, and organizational skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with association management systems. Problem solving, analytical thinking, and ability to work on multiple tasks independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment to meet deadlines. Some travel required.
