The Senior Accountant is responsible for day to day accounting operations as well as month-end close procedures. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a role that interfaces with all of the departments in a friendly team environment and there is continuing opportunity to grow within the role and advance as they assume more operational duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Weekly processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Month-End bank reconciliations
Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
Assistance with external audit preparation
Assistance with financial statement preparation
Monthly billing for government contracts
Assistance with annual budget preparation
Reconciliation between Salesforce and Accounting system
Specific requirements include but are not limited to:
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Detail oriented and strong skills and experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Strong MS Excel skills and high aptitude of working with modern accounting systems.
Strong multi-tasking skills including the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact successfully with internal and external contacts.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently.
Desire to take on more responsibilities and learn from the CFO
Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred.
At least two years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field
Experience with Intacct accounting system and Bill.com accounts payable system a plus
Experience with non-profits a plus
Excellent presentation skills.
