The Member Engagement Manager is responsible for creating and operationalizing the NACCU membership growth and retention strategy to align with strategic goals. This position serves as liaison to the Membership and Corporate Relations Committees to build a strong membership culture within the Association; works closely with the NACCU Executive Director to achieve NACCU membership goals while delivering and ensuring the highest level of service to our members. We are seeking a creative problem-solver with a proven track record of developing positive member relationships.
•Recruits new higher education institutional and corporate members, manages interactions with prospects, and responds to inquiries from institutions and corporate entities for NACCU information and materials.
•Works with members/prospects to develop and manage processes for feedback on NACCU membership, programs and services.
•Researches potential member information and develop plan for recruitment and outreach.
•Disseminates information regarding membership status, cancellations and adjustments.
•Develops and maintains a dashboard to strategically track membership engagement.
•Leads ongoing assessment and enhancement of NACCU member recruitment and retention plans. Provides analysis of membership retention rates and opportunities for improvement.
•Works with NACCU staff to develop content for all membership marketing materials and campaigns.
•Coordinates with all other staff members and the Membership Committee to ensure that membership is incorporated into all aspects of our programs and services.
•Responsible for management and maintenance of all membership data, tracking and reporting, including but not limited to: 1) Updating and maintaining membership records with contact information in membership records within the association management system; 2) Managing and tracking recruitment and retention reports; and 3) Collecting and analyzing current, new and potential member information.
•Assists with the planning and execution of programs and services to increase new memberships and membership retention.
•Coordinates with NACCU staff to implement all membership processes, including membership renewal, application processing, database membership maintenance, online member access and member emails.
•Works with staff to ensure accurate membership financial planning. Prepares monthly reports and projections. Prepares year-end audit materials related to membership.
•Processes all membership requests, including inquiries for mailing lists, prospective member questions, and new member material requests.
•Monitors and provides content for the membership sections of the NACCU website and other relevant pages.
•Responsible for keeping abreast of association trends and industry needs.
•Serves as Staff Liaison for NACCU Membership and Corporate Relations Committees; assists the committee chairs in the planning of meetings, agenda development, and in the execution of all committee activities.
•Develops goals and action plans for retention and membership growth, utilizing the Membership and Corporate Relations Committees in carrying out initiatives when applicable.
•Leads processes for outreach to current/non-active members to increase member participation and satisfaction.
•Manages exhibit hall sales and the online sales platform for the annual conference, and serves as on-site manager of the exhibit hall (70+ booths).
•Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
•Basic understanding of campus identification, transactions systems and campus cards in higher education with willingness to learn on the job.
•Demonstrate problem solving skills with stakeholders, anticipate needs, determine priorities and meet deadlines.
•Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
•Experience with database management or AMS management required. YourMembership experience preferred.
•Experience building and analyzing database reports and queries.
•Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
•Outstanding public relations and interpersonal skills, tact and a clear, courteous and professional manner with commitment to a high level of customer service.
•Experience and ability to use social media and/or technology to engage, inform and communicate with members.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting effectively with members and individuals outside the organization.
•Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively.
•Some travel required to represent NACCU at professional conferences, leadership meetings, and in the normal course of membership development activities
•Membership and non-profit experience preferred.
•Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of three (3) years of experience in membership or constituent management position preferred.
•NACCU is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona but all staff work remotely. Accountable, self-starter is required.

Additional Salary Information: Annual leave of ten (10) days per year in first five years, accrued per pay period.
Ten (10) office holidays per year with no accrual.
Sick leave accrued on a per pay period worked basis at a rate of six (6) hours per month from date of hire.
