PICPA is seeking an individual to fill the role of Vice President – Learning & Development. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong management and leadership skills.
As the Vice President – Learning & Development of a successful association, you’ll have the opportunity to design a growth-focused, sustainable business model required to meet the evolving needs of our marketplace. In this critical role, you will be expected to demonstrate an innate drive to understand the continuing education market, proactively contribute as a strategic thought partner on the direction of PICPA’s live and electronic programming and facilitate translating the strategic vision into an operational model. You will lead the learning and development team, ensuring that job responsibilities are being completed and strategic initiatives are implemented. Working closely with technology and marketing, you’ll ensure systems are in place for successful daily functionality, as well as allowing for new development opportunities. You’ll serve as the main PICPA representative to various committees, task forces, and other PICPA partners focused on learning and education, including the Foundation Board of Directors and Education Committee.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated superb communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills, and move easily between involvement on a macro and micro level daily to foster continued improvement and growth in educational offerings and member engagement. To expand engagement in PICPA learning, the VP – Learning & Development will utilize highly developed interpersonal abilities, providing his/her unique knowledge and skill set to cultivate strategic partnerships with other professional associations, providers and members. This individual will partner with the CEO and COO on all operational and strategic issues facing continuing education as they arise and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and COO based on financial and market analysis.
Position Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree required • 7- 10 years of strategic management experience • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain relationships, both internally & externally • Proven operational and administrative leadership • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Position requires travel • Knowledge of association management and the financial services industry • Experience in educational design and curriculum development is a plus • Accounting & finance subject matter knowledge is a plus
