The Society of Research Administrators International (SRA International), a nonprofit Association in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Programs Associate.
The Programs Associate is responsible for coordinating and implementing SRA International’s in-person and on-line educational programs consistent with our strategic plan. This position is responsible for the execution of education, training and e-learning offerings. The Programs Associate oversees program planning and preparation, project timelines, development of materials and budgets and recruitment and communications with faculty and volunteer leaders.
The position requires a proven ability to take on and manage multiple projects under established deadlines and requires exceptional organizational planning, analytical thinking and creativity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinates education programs by working with subject matter experts and committee members. Develops correspondence, schedules conference calls and coordinates travel and logistics for meetings;
Develops comprehensive project timelines and manages project plans and budgets;
Writes and edits materials for accuracy, consistency and for effective education messaging. Liaisons with Marketing Team to develop a communications’ plan;
Prepares, oversees and monitors budgets;
Learns, operates and troubleshoots the Learning Management System;
Supports Society members with questions about educational programs, transcripts and resources;
Develops, surveys, compiles and analyzes evaluation reports for educational activities to determine effectiveness, outcomes measurement, and future needs;
Organizes Call for Proposal process, supports proposal review process, confirms speakers, collects presentations, and organizes educational materials as needed;
Develops program books, edits and updates program pages and meeting apps;
Completes other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. At least (3) three years of progressive experience in association program management. Familiarity or experience in learning management systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Creative communication skills with an ability to write text and maintain a keen attention to detail.
Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with excellent working knowledge of the English Language.
Friendly, enthusiastic, accommodating to volunteers, members, and colleagues.
Willingness to learn, eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts.
Must be a team player.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and to prioritize tasks and problem-solve, as well as monitor and adjust to unanticipated circumstances.
