NAHSE seeks a full-time Membership Associate who excels in project management and takes pride in serving the association’s members. This individual will maintain and support the comprehensive annual membership campaign, both on the local chapter level and national level in acquiring new members, retaining and updating current members. NAHSE is seeking an individual who is positive, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, self-motivated, enjoys developing and implementing project plans and digging deeper to find new information to solve problems.
Project Management and Member Service
Drive the annual membership renewal campaign, scholarship program and other special membership projects and programs that the association has implemented.
Participate as a committee member on the National Membership Committee and collaborate on researching and developing an overall strategy and detailed plan to encourage members to become more engaged with the association.
Serve as project coordinator for the distribution of membership information and collateral material – including e-mail, newsletters, brochures and our quarterly newsletter, NAHSE Notes.
Respond to all member requests for assistance and general inquiries via email, regular mail, or telephone within 24 hours. Forward all inquiries that require resolution by other departments to the appropriate individuals
Provide a personable, friendly and rational customer service to members. Advocate for members and keep members engaged through communication whenever appropriate.
Data Management and Website
Maintain accurate and current member database
Ensure timely and accurate monthly membership numbers
Produce monthly membership reports for all local chapters
Ensure high quality records management and customer service for existing and potential members.
Plan and execute all marketing communications, email blasts, scholarship opportunities, fellowship opportunities, and notification of member updates.
Takes ownership and management of the membership data and functions related to the association management software system.
Communicate with the website administrator on a weekly basis to maintain the website.
Assist with conference planning and provide support as needed
Responsible for working with vendors in the purchase of conference items, gifts and other items as needed
Ensure successful membership support at the annual conference.
Direct experience in a related membership/development department is highly valued.
Direct experience with non-profit is highly valued.
Excellent customer service skills
Experience with database management and Microsoft office software.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
The ability to maintain a friendly demeanor under pressure.
Must be a team player who communicates well with co-workers.
Writing and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on varied tasks with frequent interruption.
High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail; high degree of initiative required
Must be able to travel 2-3 times per year.
