The ACGME is currently seeking an Accreditation Standards Administrator to support the activities of the Accreditation Standards Team. As a member of the Accreditation Standards Team, the Accreditation Standards Administrator will provide support to the Requirement Development Team (RDT) and the ACGME Committee on Requirements (CoR).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviewing revised and approved Program Requirements to ensure the documents are in the correct format; monitoring the requirement development timeline, including sending reminders to staff members of upcoming deadlines.
Scheduling RDT meetings.
Maintaining a record of RDT recommendations at each RDT meeting and preparing a draft of RDT feedback to the applicable Review Committee
Reviewing FAQs related to Program Requirements to ensure the approved format is followed and that requirement references are accurate.
Assisting in the compilation of public comments on proposed revisions to the Common Program Requirements.
Incorporating changes to the Common Program Requirements into specialty and subspecialty Program Requirement documents; ensuring that updated Requirements documents are posted online.
Determining deadlines for CoR meetings and communicating this information to Review Committee Executive Directors.
Reviewing documents submitted for CoR review to ensure that all necessary information has been provided in the proper format.
Forwarding Requirements ready for posting to the Webmaster in a timely manner, and ensuring the notification of this posting is sent via the e-Communication e-newsletter.
Scheduling conference calls for CoR executive sessions prior to each ACGME Board of Directors meeting.
Following each Board meeting, updating any/all applicable Program Requirements to include changes approved by the CoR/Board.
Maintaining the Requirements tracking system with information regarding requirement revision review and approval, and effective dates.
Preparing Requirement search reports as needed.
Interacting regularly with Review Committee staff members, as well as with the ACGME Webmaster and the ACGME Editor.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience skills and experience required.
Must be attentive to detail for thorough review of Requirements and FAQs, to ensure accuracy.
Must be deadline-oriented, skilled in working under tight timelines, and comfortable balancing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously using a flexible approach.
Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of people.
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must demonstrate computer literacy required with documented skills in at least the following programs: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Position requires the significant use of standard office equipment, such as a personal computer, keyboard, mouse, photo copier, scanner, telephone, etc.
Most of the work of the Accreditation Standards Administrator is done in the Chicago office of the ACGME with the typical physical demands of an office environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the Accreditation Standards Administrator:
Will frequently be required to sit in meetings for long periods of time.
Will frequently be required to sit and work for extended periods of time at a computer terminal using various computer programs and other computer tools.
