Our Instructional Design Manager will work on our Education & Career Services (ECS) team and will be responsible for designing, overseeing development, and delivering quality continuing education eLearning courses, group webcasts, and/or in live workshops relevant to the accounting and finance profession.
Working with the ECS team, you will leverage your accounting, educational course development, and training technologies knowledge and expertise to:
Understand professional development needs of IMA’s finance and accounting members
Determine relevant accounting courseware design and structure
Develop course and/or enlist vendors and subject matter experts to assist with course development
Ensure course accuracy from an accounting and adult learning perspective
Work cross functionally to deliver courses to market
Evaluate and keep existing courses up-to-date
Handle other assignments and projects related to education
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, training, technology and/or related field: CMA, CPA, CPLP, or comparable certifications a plus
Proven knowledge of adult learning theories and experience in curriculum design and development; accounting training development experience preferred
Knowledge of e-learning instructional technologies (e.g. Articulate’s Storyline) and trending software applications for course delivery, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), podcasts, webinars
Strong project management and organizational skills and vendor and consultant relations experience
Creative, nimble and independent thinker
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
