Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association (PREA), a statewide trade association, and Allegheny Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Allegheny), a generation and transmission (G&T) electric cooperative corporation, both located in Harrisburg, Pa., seek a candidate for the position of Administrative Specialist. Both entities are managed by Continental Cooperative Services, which will employ the successful candidate. 
 
The Administrative Specialist will assist the Public Affairs & Member Services department with various administrative tasks to ensure the department's continued success. This position will also play an integral role in each subsection within the department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist the department with daily administrative tasks, including mail processing, scheduling and calendar maintenance, call routing, supply orders, etc.
• Assist team in the preparation for association-sponsored events, including workshops, training schools, and meetings
• Assist with department publications, including supporting efforts on advertising, production, proofreading, and distribution
• Assist team by providing administrative support in various department-driven programs, including Awards, Associate Member Program, Youth Tour, and PAC
• Assist Job Training & Safety program trainers and staff, including preparing meeting materials and presentations, as well as offering other administrative support as needed
• Participate in Job Training & Safety-related first aid classes and those related to OSHA JT&S training content
• Provide backup company-wide receptionist support on an as-needed basis
• Perform other duties and department requests according to the needs of the department and the organization as a whole
