Job Summary
Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) seeks an efficient and organized Member Recruitment Coordinator. Under the overall direction of the Membership Manager, this position works with all SIAM groups to coordinate membership recruitment and retention initiatives, and to support SIAM’s geographically based subgroups (Sections). Provides administrative assistance to the Membership Manager for Corporate membership, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Executes new member recruitment initiatives, including working across Information Services Department (ISD), marketing, customer service, and production departments to coordinate the execution of
- Coordinates the implementation of member renewal activities and administration and ensures the execution of the annual renewal campaign working across SIAM departments and with volunteer leadership as
- Focus SIAM’s Section administration in a single
- Provide administrative and program assistance to existing SIAM
- Identify geographies where a SIAM Section may be
- Design and refine administrative systems for cost and time savings while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.
- Works with the marketing department, ISD, Executive Director’s Office, and customer service to ensure the smooth operation of all Sections.
- Works with Section leadership on annual reporting and requests for
- Works with the Student Chapter and Fellows Coordinator to cross-promote and coordinate on regional
- Assists the Membership Manager with duties related to SIAM Corporate
- On a monthly basis, write and coordinate membership department pages for Inside SIAM and items for SIAM Unwrapped.
- Regular travel to SIAM meetings, as needed for recruitment, coordination, and research
NOTE: This job is a hybrid position, requiring two days a week in our Philadelphia office. The other three days a week may be worked remotely.

Job Type: Full-time COVID-19 considerations:
SIAM staff have begun returning to the office after a period of mostly working remotely due to concern over the COVID-19 pandemic. As the pandemic wanes, this position will be expected to be mostly full-time in the office in accordance with SIAM’s existing flexible work policy.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years working with membership society
- Familiarity with association management software (Personify360 preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficiency with videoconferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams)
